Swanston Golf Academy — The Master Plan

Swanston Golf Academy Master Plan

The Master Plan

A modern pathway into golf. For beginners, juniors, and developing players.

Golf is changing.
How people learn is changing.
What players expect from coaching is changing.

At Swanston Golf Academy, we are building something different.

Our mission is simple:

Make great golf coaching accessible to everyone.

Not just the talented.
Not just the confident.
Not just those who already “belong”.

Beginner, junior, returning golfer, or developing player — everyone deserves:

  • clarity

  • structure

  • modern tools

  • a visible pathway to progress

Our North Star is clear:

Help every player access golfing excellence.

Swanston is uniquely placed to lead this shift:

  • a public-facing range

  • a growing junior base

  • a community club

  • beginners walking past us every day

We sit at the front door of the game.

If we do this well, Swanston becomes the place where:

  • beginners feel safe to start

  • juniors see a future

  • parents understand the journey

  • progress becomes visible

  • coaching feels modern and human

  • golf stops feeling intimidating

Why Now

The way people engage with learning has changed.

Players expect:

  • clarity, not confusion

  • pathways, not guesswork

  • progress they can see

  • systems that work around real lives

The next generation will not tolerate:

  • friction

  • outdated processes

  • opaque progress

  • unclear direction

Swanston will lead.

Our Mission

Make great golf coaching accessible to everyone.

  • Clear pathways

  • Modern systems

  • Human coaching

  • Visible progress

Everything that follows exists to make that real.

A. Modernise Coaching at Its Foundation

1. CoachNow as the Digital Home

CoachNow becomes the centre of the Swanston learning experience.

It unifies:

  • lesson videos

  • progress timelines

  • communication

  • practice tasks

  • bookings

Every golfer has a clear, continuous journey.

No more scattered messages.
No more forgotten notes.
No more “what should I practise?”

Every player can see their progress and understand their path forward.

This is how great coaching becomes accessible.

2. A Smarter, More Resilient Payment System

We will introduce modern, low-friction payment options — including Bitcoin via Zaprite — to:

  • reduce fees

  • increase efficiency

  • build long-term resilience

Alongside this, we will launch a Junior Development Fund — a dedicated pot to support young golfers who would otherwise struggle to access coaching.

This will be:

  • open to voluntary donations

  • transparently separated from day-to-day Academy operations

  • focused purely on widening access for juniors

There will also be a discount for students who choose to pay in Bitcoin, rewarding those who help us reduce costs and build a more resilient, future-proof system.

B. Create Clear, Powerful Pathways into Golf

3. Expand Play 9 – Score 36

Golf should feel simple, achievable, and measurable.

Play 9 – Score 36 becomes Scotland’s most effective beginner pathway:

  • early success

  • clear goals

  • visible progress

  • confidence from day one

It replaces intimidation with momentum.

4. Align All Junior Coaching to Play 9

Every junior has:

  • a clear pathway

  • measurable levels

  • visible milestones

Parents understand the journey.
Juniors stay motivated.
Progress becomes tangible.

This is how excellence becomes understandable and achievable.

C. Build a Smarter Coaching System

5. Stronger Operations

  • one booking system

  • unified calendars

  • consistent communication

A background environment that just works.

Access isn’t only about price.
It’s about removing friction.

6. AI for Clarity

AI will help create:

  • simple lesson summaries

  • personalised practice plans

  • clearer follow-up

AI doesn’t replace the coach.
It amplifies understanding.

7. Practice Thinker

Practice should never be guesswork.

Every player knows:

  • what to practise

  • why it matters

  • how it connects to improvement

8. Strokes Gained & Shot Tracking

Golfers will:

  • understand where shots are won and lost

  • connect performance to lessons

  • focus on what actually matters

Improvement becomes measurable — like it is for elite players.

D. Make World-Class Technology Understandable

  • TrackMan — clear explanations of ball flight and key numbers

  • Swing Catalyst — pressure, balance, and contact made visual

  • HackMotion — wrists, strike, and control made practical

Complex ideas become usable skills.

E. Build a Complete Learning Ecosystem

9. Modern Onboarding

Every golfer begins with clarity:

  • how lessons work

  • how to use CoachNow

  • how to practise with purpose

  • how progression happens

Clarity builds confidence.
Confidence builds commitment.

10. Learning-Led Content

Consistent education across:

  • YouTube

  • Instagram/TikTok

  • the website

Including:

  • beginner series

  • Play 9 highlights

  • junior development

  • practice ideas

  • long-form lessons

Education becomes accessible — anywhere.

11. A Coaching Culture Built for Growth

An environment where:

  • learning feels clear

  • players feel supported

  • coaches work together

  • long-term improvement comes first

Not intensity.
Consistency.

What This Means for Swanston

Every system we build must:

  • make coaching clearer

  • create visible pathways

  • reduce confusion

  • support every player

  • serve long-term improvement

Every decision is filtered through one question:

Does this help more people access golfing excellence?

This is the operating direction of the Academy.

If something doesn’t move us toward this future, we don’t build it.

Closing

This Master Plan is a commitment.

To our players.
To our coaches.
To the future of golf.

A commitment to:

  • build modern pathways

  • remove intimidation

  • use innovation in service of people

  • help every player access golfing excellence

The future of golf coaching is changing.
