Event 6 of Play 9 - Score 36: Sponsored by Caley Golf saw 24 players, 5 of them being new Play-9ers! Half of the field achieved par 36 or better and have advanced to the next level - well done!
Out on the course providing some coaching were Thomas Bell and Mike McNally.
It was Jonathan Galway’s first event and he scored -2 under par to win Lowest Junior Score (U18)! Well done and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Lesley Mackenzie played in our event for the first time and shot an impressive 29 (-7 under par). Congratulations on picking up the Lowest Adult Score.
We saw another few impressive shots in contention for the Closest to the Pin award. Huge congratulations to Richard Baker taking away this award at his first event.
It was very very close with the average team scoring, congratulations to Richard Baker, Josh Havens & Gregor Mccrum who were awarded the Lowest Team Score with an average of 35!
Consistency Award
What does consistency mean to you? Coaches Mike and Thomas agree that 99% of individuals signing up for a coaching session say they are looking for consistency.
Consistency means different things to different people. Everyone would love consistent scores and results but not even the top players can shoot consistent scores across a weekend of golf.
We have introduced a new bonus award, the Consistency Award. It’s not for the most consistent scores. It was presented in recognition of outstanding effort, commitment, and consistency to showing up and playing. Rona Anderson was the lucky winner who took away a £100 Autoluxe+ Edinburgh voucher. Rona can trade this in to treat her wheels to a premium Internal & External Deep Clean! Rona has demonstrated real determination and commitment to her game by playing at every single event, not only this season but last season too! That’s 13 events to date!
Also a shout out to three players who have stuck with their game and made progress at this event: Caroline Casey, Murray Talbot & Sarah Henderson. Also a mention for Jason Caruana who after attending the last 6 events has completed level 4! Jason did things a little different and started on level 3, 75 yards to the hole. On his first attempt at level 4 he scored 32 (-4 under par) - he will now play from the tee box at his next event! Good luck Jason!
