PGA Professional Linzi Dye Joins Swanston Golf Academy – Inspiring the Future of Women’s & Girls’ Golf

Golf is changing. At Swanston, we believe the future of the game belongs to everyone — women, girls, juniors, and families.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that PGA Professional Linzi Dye will be joining the Swanston Golf Academy coaching team, starting Saturday, 4th October 2025!

Linzi will initially be available for coaching bi-weekly on Saturdays between 2pm and 8pm, with a focus on inspiring women and girls of all abilities to learn, play, and love golf.

Why Linzi

Linzi doesn’t just coach golf. She builds communities and creates pathways into the game.

Linzi’s journey began in the U.S., where she played four years of Division II college golf at Newman University in Wichita, Kansas before completing her PGA Training in 2018. Since then, she’s been shaping grassroots golf in Scotland:

  • Developed a junior section of over 100 players at West Kilbride Golf Club.

  • Built a community of 80+ women through love.golf, many of whom went on to become club members.

  • Introduced golf to over 1,000 children through the Children’s Golf Trust Schools Programme.

  • TPI Level 1 Certified, currently working toward TPI Level 2 Junior Golf.

Everywhere she’s worked, Linzi has left a lasting mark by making golf more inclusive, accessible, and fun.

Coaching Philosophy

Golf doesn’t need to be complicated.

Linzi believes the game should be fun, social, and welcoming. Whether you’re completely new, a parent introducing your child to golf, or a lifelong player, Linzi’s coaching helps you build confidence, improve your game, and create friendships along the way.

A Message from Head PGA Professional, Mike McNally

“We’ve had a growing waitlist of women and girls wanting to get into golf, and around 20% of them have been specifically asking for a female coach. Our academy exists to create opportunities for everyone, and when I saw the work Linzi was doing at grassroots level, it was clear Linzi was exactly what Swanston needed to meet the growing demand for women’s and girls’ coaching.

This summer showed us the demand — we introduced over 50 girls to the game through our girls’ golf hubs and autumn programme, which sold out within days. Many of those girls are now members of Swanston Golf Club. But it was clear we needed a specialist coach to take this further.

Linzi stood out as the coach doing the best work in Scotland for women and girls at grassroots level. Her arrival is a milestone, raising Swanston’s profile as the home of grassroots golf in Scotland for women and girls.

As a Dad, I’m personally excited that Linzi also has the patience and skill to help us launch Golf Tots next spring. Watching toddlers take their first swings under her guidance is going to be something special.

The future of golf at Swanston is brighter with Linzi here.”
