Sunshine & Smiles for Play 9 - Score 36, Event 3
The sun certainly joined us for Play 9 - Score 36, Event 3 and it made for such a lovely morning of Golf.
We had a field of 21 players, 5 of whom were new Play-9ers! We are encouraged to receive hugely positive feedback from new players who are finding the events a great next step on their golfing journey and providing a pathway to play golf with friends/family and like minded individuals in a welcoming environment.
Well done to the 11 individuals who achieved par 36 or better and have advanced to the next level.
Coaches Alan Watt and Mike McNally were out on the course to spend time with participants and provide some helpful coaching tips.
A special mention to Rona Anderson who has played in every Play 9 event we’ve run so far and who in the words of Mike ‘broke through her edge of chaos’. This is when you reach a sticking point and is a completely normal part of the process. However, sticking with practice and some determination you will eventually break through it! We look forward to welcoming you back for Level 4 Rona, well done!
Congratulations to Robert Dailey who shot 33 (-3 under par) to win the Lowest Adult Score. This was Robert’s first attempt at a Play 9 event following completion of the beginner 3-Week Accelerator course with Alan Watt.
It was a stand out performance from Jennifer Macdonald on the 9th hole, her tee shot landed her the Closest to the Pin prize!
Huge congratulations to Lauchlan Macdonald for winning the Lowest Junior Score (U18) with an impressive score of 29 (-7 under par)!
Harris Gee-Lang, Lauchlan Macdonald and Jennifer Macdonald smashed the Lowest Team Score with an average of 33.67. Another convincing win, 2 shots clear of the next team!

For Those Who Missed the Cut and Those Looking to Play
We have made the decision to cancel Event 4, scheduled for 24th May so that we can have some family time when we welcome our son into the world. However, we will be back in 4 weeks time for another chance for you to play, meet likeminded players, improve and progress to the next level.
